Our local Play Team have been out in the Holidays with their green T-shirts supporting children in self directed outdoor play. Last year 93 children registered with them and had a great time out in Pantiago and Coedbach Park whilst linking with the Swansea Play Team in Dantwyn Park.
It’s open access so children are free to come and go (they nearly always stay!!). It is child led so the Team support the children to do the activities they choose. We have some new equipment, so watch out for the brightly coloured barrel!
We are running in all holidays thanks to funding from the Swansea Council Play Fund and support from their Play Development Worker. Our Team are locally recruited and between them offer a range of skills and lots of fun! Under 8 year olds must be accompanied by an adult.

Dantwyn Park Development
Working together with Swansea’s Play Team, Tidy Towns Initiative, Road Safety, Parks and Housing Deptment, consultation has been going on about improvements to Dantwyn Park to make it into a natural play space for children and better for adults. We are pushing this forward and hope that the work will be done early in the New Year. This will involve young people and other volunteers. If you are interested in getting involved please get in touch.
